The traditional image of recruitment is changing. What used to be viewed as a “plan B” career is fast becoming the occupation of choice, earning a far more respectable reputation than in the past.
We interviewed two members of our internal recruitment team to find out the top 10 reasons to get into recruitment.
1. Money – this is an obvious reason to get into recruitment but in a company such as Networkers who offers uncapped commission, the earning potential for a good consultant is vast.
2. Career security & opportunities – despite the fact that the recruitment industry is heavily saturated, a successful recruiter is extremely marketable and can quickly climb the career ladder. Unlike most career choices, progression won’t be based on your qualifications or how long you’ve been at the company. If you work hard you progress fast.
3. Consultative Approach – You are not just selling a product, you are consulting with clients to find out what they need to make their business grow and help them to find the right people to do that.
4. Global opportunities – A good recruiter has plenty of options and if worldwide travel or even moving abroad permanently is your goal then recruitment is the career choice for you. This is particularly true for global recruitment companies such as Networkers where consultants are given the opportunity to work in our offices abroad.
